U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) took to Twitter to criticize the investigation into President Joe Biden after lawyers found several classified documents over the last three months in the president’s former office and Deleware home.

“We have no idea what classified documents Biden took or where he stashed/misplaced/lost them – or worse,” Moore said in a Tweet on Thursday. “And don't forget, a VP CANNOT declassify documents as a President can.”

“The DOJ invaded [Melania Trump’s] closet and [Barron Trump’s] bedroom,” he continued. “Why aren’t they kicking down the [White House] doors?”

Biden’s lawyers first found classified documents in November inside a “locked closet” in Biden’s office in Washington, where he used to do work for the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.

The lawyers turned the files over to the National Archives, which informed the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). U.S. Attorney John Lausch oversaw the assessment of the materials.

Just days before Christmas, more classified documents were found in Biden’s Deleware garage. The home was Biden’s primary residence before he became president in 2020.

Attorneys found another document on Wednesday, and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters that the search was complete.

However, a White House lawyer announced Saturday that five more pages were found in the Biden home.

Because the documents are classified, officials have not described their contents other than that they dated to Biden’s tenure as vice president under Barack Obama.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed former DOJ official Robert Hur to head the investigation into the document. White House officials promised to cooperate.

Conservatives, Moore included, have criticized the lack of congruity between the investigation of Biden and a similar investigation of former president Donald Trump last year.

FBI agents raided Trump’s Flordia residence, Mar-a-Lago, on August 8 to find numerous boxes of classified documents. Trump is also under investigation by a special counsel appointed by Garland.

In an interview with "60 Minutes," Biden said that when he heard about the top-secret documents found at Mar-a-Largo, he thought, “How that could possibly happen, how anyone could be that irresponsible.”

“What data was in there that may comprise sources and methods?” Biden asked. “By that, I mean the names of people who helped. It’s just totally irresponsible.”
