Incumbent Tony Kennon seeks re-election after serving as mayor since 2008. A native of Chickasaw, Alabama in Mobile County, Kennon has been coming to Orange Beach since the 1960s. As a full-time mayor, Kennon campaigns on his proven track record of municipal improvements and city development.

Jeff Boyd brings extensive municipal experience as the current City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem, having held the Place Two council position since 2012. Boyd, who has lived in Orange Beach since 2003, said he has a bold vision for the future and made the decision to challenge Kennon for the top municipal position.

This race represents a significant moment for Orange Beach, as voters will decide between maintaining the current administration's course or embracing new leadership with Boyd's "bold vision for the future."
