Alabama got off to a slow start but rolled in the second half to secure a 93-74 win over Ole Miss.

The Crimson Tide made it four straight wins against Ole Miss and put together its first three-game SEC winning streak of the season. Alabama improved to 17-7 overall and 7-4 in the SEC with its win on Wednesday.

Here are a few takeaways from the game.

  1. Slow Start

Alabama got off to its slowest start of the season on Wednesday. The Crimson Tide were held to just 15 points for the first 15 minutes of the game. Shooting only 25% from the field in the first half, the Crimson Tide somehow managed to take a 32-30 lead into halftime. The 32 points in the first half were the lowest Alabama has been held in a first half this season.

  1. Dominating Second Half

While the first half was a struggle to get the ball in the hoop, the second half was quite the opposite. The Crimson Tide nearly doubled their first-half performance and dropped 61 points in the second half to cruise to an easy victory. Alabama shot a blistering 53% from the field while draining 12 second-half three-pointers.

  1. No Bediako

Charles Bediako was deemed ineligible on Monday, and Wednesday night was Alabama’s first game without him since January 17. The Crimson Tide didn’t seem to skip a beat as Aiden Sherrell scored 15 points while logging 25 minutes. Alabama’s backup center, Noah Williamson, only saw five minutes of action as the Crimson Tide elected to play a smaller lineup without Bediako.

  1. Big Night for Wrightsell

Latrell Wrightsell once again got hot for Alabama. Wrightsell led all Crimson Tide scorers with 21 points, doing all of his damage from behind the arc. The sharpshooter matched his career high in three-point makes with seven, which he set earlier in the season against Missouri. Wrightsell finished the night 7-of-13 from behind the arc while hitting six of his seven makes in the second half.

Alabama will host South Carolina on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
