No. 2 Alabama avoided the letdown on the road and defeated Texas 103-80 on Tuesday night.

With No. 1 Auburn on deck for the Crimson Tide, Alabama handled business, setting up a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup for the top spot in the SEC on Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa.

Sharp shooting from behind the arc and easy buckets in the paint made scoring effortless for the Crimson Tide, which eclipsed the century mark on the scoreboard for the seventh time this season and fourth in SEC play.

Here are a few takeaways from the game.

Stevenson Steals the Show

Jair Stevenson had been in a rut on the offensive end of the court, coming into the game averaging around five points a game. Stevenson surpassed his season average with ease, leading all Crimson Tide scorers with a career-high 22 points. Everything was falling for Stevenson, and his lone miss on the night was from behind the arc, where he shot 4-for-5 on the night. He also was perfect from the free throw line, hitting all four attempts.

Raining Threes

Alabama had its best three point shooting game in SEC play this season. The Crimson Tide drained 17 of 29 three point attempts for 58.6% from behind the arc. Stevenson led the way with four made three pointers as seven different Alabama players hit a shot behind the arc.

Bench Points

The Alabama depth was on full display Tuesday night. The constant fresh legs eventually wore Texas down in the second half, allowing the Crimson Tide to run away with the game. Alabama’s bench was responsible for 49 points led by 18 from Aden Holloway and 15 from Labaron Philon.

Tons of Turnovers

Even turnovers can’t slow down the Alabama offense. Another game with a high volume of turnovers, and the Crimson Tide still managed to blow out the competition. Alabama turned over the ball 17 times to lead to 26 points for Texas. For most teams, that stat line equals a loss, but the Crimson Tide managed a 23-point win and scored over 100 points. The turnovers will need to be cleaned up by Saturday if the Crimson Tide hope to grab a win against No. 1 Auburn.

Alabama will host Auburn on Saturday at 3 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN. "College GameDay" will also broadcast live from Coleman Coliseum at 9 a.m.
