This year's Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will have eight players with Alabama connections.

Super Bowl LVIII, which will be played in Las Vegas, Nev., will be a rematch of Super LIV. The Chiefs won that matchup 31-20.

Seven players in this year's game have ties to Alabama.

The Kansas City Chiefs have six players who would receive a Super Bowl ring should they win:

  • Prince Tega Wanogho, offensive line, Auburn University, Edgewood Academy

  • La'Mical Perine, running back, Theodore High School

  • Justyn Ross, wide receiver, Central-Phenix City High School

  • Kadarius Toney, wide receiver, Blount High School

  • Montrell Washington, wide receiver, Samford University

  • Neil Farrell, Jr., defensive line, Murphy High School

The San Francisco 49ers have two players who would receive a Super Bowl ring should they win:

  • Cameron Latu, tight end, University of Alabama

  • Darrell Luter, Jr., cornerback, University of South Alabama

Super Bowl LVIII will be played on February 11. It will be the first Super Bowl played in the state of Nevada.
