The Jefferson County Coroner identified a man killed in a work-related accident on Thursday.
Dorsey Brown Holt, Jr., 70, of Bessemer, died from blunt force injuries at US Pipe and Foundry Company, the coroner’s office confirmed.
The plant is located off 18th Avenue North in Bessemer. Holt’s injury occurred at 4:30 a.m. on Friday, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Bessemer Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
