The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) announced the arrest of one of its own for drug possession.
Curtis Green, a corrections officer at Bibb Correctional Facility, was arrested on October 4.
ACOC said Green tried to bring a cell phone, approximately 68 grams of methamphetamine and approximately seven grams of fentanyl into the prison.
ACOC K-9 handlers and narcotics agents assisted in the case.
Green was charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband, second-degree promoting prison contraband, trafficking illegal drugs/methamphetamine, trafficking illegal drugs/fentanyl, conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime and use of office for personal gain.
Green was placed in the Bibb County Jail. Officials said more charges may be pending.
He is considered innocent until proven guilty.
