Americans for Prosperity-Alabama (AFP-AL) recently hosted U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) for a roundtable discussion on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).
Alabama families’ federal tax bill could rise by $2,127 if the Senate doesn’t follow the House in approving the spending bill and preventing the TCJA from expiring this year.
“This is not just legislation, it’s a promise kept to the American people,” Strong said. “I’m proud to support President Trump’s promise to deliver historic tax relief and put money back in the pockets of American families.”
AFP-AL state director Adam Thompson thanked Strong for representing Alabama’s voices in Congress by passing the critical tax cuts.
“Congressman Strong has fought tirelessly to represent the interests of Alabamians, and we are fortunate to have a strong advocate for extending President Trump’s tax cuts in the U.S. House of Representatives. He knows that we cannot allow the TCJA to expire and enact the largest tax increase in recent history for Alabama families,” Thompson said.
