During a Monday morning appearance on "Rightside Radio," chief counsel for the Alabama Attorney General's Office, Katherine Robertson, revealed what she believes to be the greatest future legal challenge facing the state.
Robertson, who is running to become Alabama's next attorney general, told the show's hosts that reclaiming the Yellowhammer State's sovereignty from liberals in Washington will be imperative to securing its conservative future.
"We are going to keep having the same problems over and over again every time there's a Democrat in the White House because they look at Alabama as a deep red state, a poor state that's heavily reliant on federal funding for federal programs," Robertson explained. "They're going to jerk us around every time. That is the biggest threat. Every other thing that we have worked on, like girls' sports, DEI, COVID vaccine mandates — all of that is pushed through because of a lack of state control."
She added, "That's the biggest threat we have and the biggest thing we need to beat back."
