The largest export company for the U.S. aerospace industry is celebrating 10 years in the Port City.

Airbus designs and manufactures aircraft. The manufacturer’s Mobile location has grown from 300 employees to over 2,000 since it opened a decade ago.

The location builds the A320 and the A220 aircraft, with plans to expand and add more jobs. The Mobile Airbus facility has been called “a cornerstone of the company’s long-term U.S. strategy.”

Airbus has invested more than $1 billion in Alabama and is expected to become the world's fourth-largest commercial aircraft assembly facility.
