On Tuesday, the University of Alabama released two updates to its upcoming football schedule.

The Crimson Tide announced that the 2024 A-Day game will be held on April 13 in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Recently hired head football coach Kalen DeBoer will begin a new era in program history with Nick Saban retiring after 17 seasons.

The annual spring football game will provide fans with a first look at the new coach as well as a new roster that had many changes during the off-season. Alabama has had 40 players depart from the team between the NFL draft and the transfer portal. Since last season, the Crimson Tide have hired eight new assistant coaches as well as added 30 players through the transfer portal and high school recruits.

Alabama’s other scheduling announcement was the date and opponent of the 2024 homecoming game. The Crimson Tide will face the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, October 26, in its annual homecoming game.

In the previous season, Alabama extended their homecoming winning streak to 21 games with a 24-21 victory over Arkansas. Alabama boasts an impressive 88-13-1 homecoming game record with their last loss coming against LSU in 2001 by a score of 35-31.

The Crimson Tide have defeated Missouri in five straight games, holding a 5-2 all-time record in the series. The last meeting between the two programs was back in 2020 will Alabama defeating Missouri 38-19 on the road. In 2018, Alabama hosted Missouri in its homecoming game, winning by a score of 39-10.
