Alabama baseball’s offense left no doubt, exploding for a 13-4 win over Alabama State on Wednesday.

Despite a quick turnaround, the Crimson Tide showed no signs of fatigue on Wednesday night, grabbing their second midweek victory in as many days.

Alabama jumped out early, plating two runs in the first inning on a Brady Neal double and never looked back. In the fourth inning, the Crimson Tide blew the game wide open by scoring five runs as Alabama sent all nine batters up to the plate at least once.

In the bottom of the sixth, Alabama State finally got on the board scoring three runs to cut the lead to 9-3 but never got any closer.

Seven Alabama players recorded a hit in Wednesday’s game, led by a trio of hitters with multiple hits. Brady Neal and John Lemm both went 2-for-4 on the night with a double and two RBI each. Justin Lebron also had two hits on the night, including a solo home run, his eighth of the season.

Joe Chiarodo earned his first win of the season, giving the Crimson Tide two strong innings of shutout ball while spreading out two hits. Four Alabama pitchers came out of the bullpen to finish the final seven innings giving up three earned runs on six hits.
