Alabama men's basketball guard Aden Holloway was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and failure to affix a tax stamp on Monday, a Tuscaloosa Police Department (TPD) spokesperson told TIDE 100.9 FM.

Holloway is no longer listed as an inmate of the Tuscaloosa County Jail, which usually means he has been released on bond, according to the outlet.

"Agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force conducted a search of a residence in the 400 block of 30th Avenue East this morning. The agents recovered more than a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia, and cash. Aden Holloway, 21, was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and failure to affix a tax stamp. He was transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Monday morning. Bond was set at $5,000," the TPD spokesperson told TIDE 100.9 FM.

Holloway is in his second year at Alabama after transferring from Auburn. He’s averaging 16.8 points per game for the Crimson Tide in the 2025-2026 season. Alabama is scheduled to play Hofstra in the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
