Donna Yeatman, executive secretary of the embattled Alabama Board of Pharmacy, received a $255,000 settlement to resign in January.

A recent report found several "significant issues” on the pharmacy board.

The issues included how the board reported income, over-fining, levying non-specified fees, charging non-licensed entities, meeting minutes that are inconsistent with board actions, violations of Alabama's Open Meetings Act, failure to file oaths of office with the secretary of state's office, failing to deposit receipts promptly, violating the state's open-bidding rules, inaccurate invoicing, overpaying vendors over the contracted amount and unlawfully procuring supplies and services.

According to a settlement agreement dated February 3, the board will pay Yeatman for her accrued annual leave (approximately 468 hours), sick leave (approximately 612 hours) and personal leave (approximately 8 hours). According to Alabama Daily News, the accrued leave total amounted to almost $106,000.

Additionally, the Board will also compensate Yeatman $150,000 to be paid in one lump sum payment per the settlement agreement.

The agreement was signed by Gary Mount, Alabama Board of Pharmacy president, and Yeatman.
