Georgia Southern University and Appalachian State University will meet in the 19th JLab Birmingham Bowl on December 29.
The game will kick off at 1 p.m. at Protective Stadium and will air on ESPN.
“We look forward to having Georgia Southern and App State and their fans spend the holiday season in Birmingham to enjoy the unique southern hospitality and the nationally recognized food scene that our city offers,” said JLab Birmingham Bowl executive director Mark Meadows. “We hope local football fans will join us for the free pre-game Fan Fest and Pep Rally at Uptown on December 28, and we encourage everyone to purchase their tickets now while they are available.”
The 27th 68 Ventures Bowl in Mobile will feature a matchup of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the University of Delaware.
The Ragin’ Cajuns and Blue Hens will meet at Hancock Whitney Stadium on December 17 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.
“We are thrilled to welcome back Louisiana and host Delaware in its first-ever bowl appearance,” said 68 Ventures Bowl president Jerry Silverstein. “The city of Mobile always puts on a first-class experience in what promises to be an action-packed matchup between these two opponents.”
Two long-time, in-state rivals will square off in the 2025 IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl in Montgomery.
Troy and Jacksonville State will meet in the 12th annual IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl on December 16 at 8 p.m. at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. The game will also be televised on ESPN.
“We are thrilled to revive the Battle for the Ol’ School Bell rivalry here in Montgomery for this year’s IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl,” Clay Norrell, executive director, said. “We are expecting a great matchup between two long-time rivals.”
Jacksonville State and Troy are both former members of the Gulf South Conference and are meeting on the gridiron for the first time since 2001.
