Alabama will become the world capital of deep sea fishing this weekend.
The Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo (ADSFR), the world's largest fishing tournament, will be held from Friday, July 18, to Sunday, July 20, on Dauphin Island.

The rodeo headquarters and weigh-in will be on Dauphin Island at 531 Lemoyne Drive.
The schedule is:
- Thursday, July 17: Captain T-Bone's Liar's Contest and Live Music by The Wrong Terns (7:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.).
- Friday, July 18: 92nd Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo begins, with live music by The Molly Ringwalds (7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.).
- Saturday, July 19: 92nd Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo continues with live music by Hamilton Gardner (5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.).
- Sunday, July 20: 92nd Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo concludes with live music by The Big Reveal (starting at 3:00 p.m.).
The Rodeo is open to all anglers, regardless of skill level. The top prize, a boat-motor package, will be awarded in a random drawing from all participants who weigh in a legal fish.
The three-day event features 33 categories with prizes awarded for first, second and third place in each category, as well as a Master Angler award and cash prizes for King Mackerel, Speckled Trout and Big Game Jackpots.
