On Monday, the Associated Press released its top 25 college basketball poll, and Alabama dropped six spots after dropping its first game of the season last week.

The Crimson Tide entered the week rated No. 17, but after losing 92-81 to unranked Ohio State and beating unranked Oregon 99-91, they fell to No. 23.

Appearing just outside of the top 25 in the "others receiving votes" section was Auburn, which picked up 46 votes to be ranked. The Tigers last week beat Alabama A&M 84-54.

Alabama returns to action at home on Tuesday in a bout with Clemson. The game tips off at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Auburn squares off with Virginia Tech at home on Wednesday and then travels to Appalachian State on Sunday. The Virginia Tech game tips off at 8:15 p.m. on ESPN2, while the Appalachian State game tips off at noon on ESPN2.
