The University of Alabama football team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday and dropped seven spots in this week's Associated Press top 25 college football poll to No. 10.

The Crimson Tide lost 34-24 to then-No. 11 Texas, which jumped to No. 4 in the country following the win.

Georgia and Michigan remained at first and second overall, respectively, while Florida State rose to No. 3.

Alabama looks to get back on track in a road trip to USF on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Despite receiving votes in last week's poll and winning a tough road game at Cal, Auburn did not pick up any votes this week.

The Tigers return home next week for their homecoming game, hosting the Samford Bulldogs at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
