The University of Alabama men's basketball team heads into postseason play as the fourth-best team in the country and is still in solid position to be a one-seed in the NCAA Tournament.

After an overtime win over rival Auburn and a six-point Saturday loss at No. 24 Texas A&M, now ranked 18th in the nation, the Crimson Tide dropped two spots to No. 4.

Alabama is set to face the winner of Florida and Mississippi State in the third round of the SEC Tournament on Friday at noon.

Auburn likely punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament after beating then-No. 12 Tennessee at Neville Arena on Saturday. The Tigers were seemingly on the bubble after hitting a late-year rough patch.

Auburn squares off with Arkansas on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

Should either Alabama or Auburn make it to the SEC Championship, the game is scheduled for Sunday, March 12, at noon.
