After going undefeated last week, the University of Alabama men's basketball team remained the second-ranked team in the country, according to this week's Associated Press top 25 college basketball poll.

Despite some off-court distractions, the Crimson Tide were able to fend off two upset bids, beating both South Carolina and Arkansas in one-possession games last week.

The Tide still trail No. 1 Houston in the rankings despite having the head-to-head advantage.

On Wednesday, Alabama hosts rival Auburn, which has been struggling in recent weeks and then goes on the road Saturday to No. 24 Texas A&M.

After playing Alabama on Wednesday, Auburn welcomes No. 12 Tennessee on Saturday as the Tigers look to remain in the NCAA Tournament discussion.
