The University of Alabama now boasts the second-best team in the country, and Auburn University is back in the top 15 in this week's Associated Press top 25 college basketball poll.
While building an impressive resume that includes taking down two first-ranked teams this season, Alabama jumped two spots to No. 2 in the nation after going on the road last week to defeat Vanderbilt and Missouri.
Auburn is ranked 15th after taking care of business at LSU and at South Carolina last week, moving up one spot from last week's poll.
The Crimson Tide host Mississippi State on Wednesday and travel to future SEC foe Oklahoma on Saturday as part of the BIG 12/SEC challenge.
The Tigers host a tough Texas A&M team on Wednesday and visit West Virginia to partake in the BIG 12/SEC challenge.
