The Tuscaloosa Police Department arrested University of Alabama offensive lineman Elijah Pritchett on Wednesday and charged him with knowingly passing on a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

Pritchett, a redshirt freshman from Columbus, Ga., bonded out for $500. Knowingly passing on an STD in Alabama is a Class C misdemeanor, which could result in jail sentences of up to three months and fines of up to $500.

The 19-year-old appeared in all 13 games for the Crimson Tide this season but briefly entered the transfer portal last week before ultimately withdrawing his name.

Alabama is preparing to play Michigan in the Rose Bowl for the College Football Playoff semifinals on January 1.
