On Monday, the Associated Press released its preseason top 25 college basketball poll, and the University of Alabama basketball team came in at No. 24.
The Crimson Tide were atop the AP's final poll of the 2022-2023 season after opening the season at No. 20. Nate Oats will look to build on a season that saw his team as the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, which ended in an upset loss in the Sweet 16 to San Diego State.
Alabama will open the regular season on November 6, hosting Morehead State in Coleman Coliseum.
Appearing just outside of the top 25 in the "others receiving votes" section was Auburn, which picked up 27 votes to be ranked.
The Tigers, led by coach Bruce Pearl, will face No. 20 Baylor to tip off the season on Tuesday, November 7, at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
