It’s breathtaking to watch and hear the new-on-the-job worker bees of the second Trump administration. Many are working seven days a week and long hours each day, and they are getting things done at a frenetic pace.
The Trump team has accomplished more in one month than the Biden administration did in the entire four years.
The high-level Trump administrators are busy, busy, busy.
Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have gone abroad on vital foreign missions. Elon Musk and team have taken on dozens of wasteful federal agencies – seemingly all at once. Kristi Noem, new Homeland Security secretary, is seemingly everywhere at once.
There’s a new day in Washington, D.C. It’s work first and work fast.
As a result, the Trump administration's big names have not been as available for political and public relations events across the country. They can catch up on those later after the big, difference-making projects are in place and moving forward. These include making America healthy again, eliminating billions in government waste, and ridding the DOJ and FBI of weaponized prosecutions. Those absolutely necessary missions are more important than making a speech at the Iowa State Fair. Or at the Alabama Republican Party’s biennial dinner.
Consequentially, the ALGOP dinner tentatively set for February 28 has been postponed. The big-name speakers that were wanted in Alabama were not available. They were busy making America great again.
The ALGOP dinner will be rescheduled for later, but the procedure for booking a big-name GOP speaker will be reversed. Instead of setting the dinner date and trying to book the speaker, it will be the other way around. The ALGOP will find out when the speaker is available to make a running trip to Alabama and set their dinner date around the speaker. It’s a different day in America.
ALGOP has hosted a stellar list of national GOP hosses as their dinner speakers, including: Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Lee Greenwood (to sing, not to speak), RNC co-chair Lara Trump and Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker.
Here is the statement released Thursday by ALGOP chair John Wahl:
Republican Friend,
We know the Winter Dinner is a highly anticipated event. Traditionally it is held the evening before our Winter Meeting. This year is going to be a little different. We have secured a prominent guest speaker, but with all the activity in Washington, D.C. since President Trump’s inauguration, we have agreed to adjust our normal schedule.
We are working hard to finalize the details and will announce both a date and our special guest as soon as possible. Trust me—you won’t want to miss it!
Thank you for your patience and dedication. We can’t wait to share more soon!
In your service,
John Wahl
Chairman
Alabama Republican Party
It’s a different day in America. America first. Work first.
