The Alabama Republican Party will host an in-person qualifying day in Montgomery for the 2022 Alabama Republican Primary on Wednesday.
“We’re excited to take ‘the show on the road’, so-to-speak, and offer an alternate option to qualify in-person in our state capital,” said Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl. “We realize it isn’t always convenient for candidates to make the drive to our headquarters in Birmingham. This gives people an opportunity to come to a second location to file paperwork, pay their fees, and ask questions – with all the same amenities as our office.”
The 2022 ALGOP Montgomery Qualifying Day will take place on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the 5th-floor conference room of the RSA Plaza building at 770 Washington Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36104.
Members of the ALGOP staff will be available to assist prospective candidates with the qualifying process. Wahl will be available for photo opportunities with prospective 2022 Republican candidates.
The qualifying period for the 2022 ALGOP Primary opened on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. and will run until Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
In addition to the Montgomery qualifying day, candidates can qualify during this time online at algop.org or in-person at ALGOP Headquarters (3505 Lorna Road, Birmingham, AL 35216) during regular business hours.

Attorney General
Secretary of State
Commissioner of Agriculture and Industry
Treasurer
State Auditor
One (1) U.S. Senate seat
All seven U.S. House seats
Two (2) Alabama Supreme Court seats
Two (2) Public Service Commission seats
Four (4) Alabama Board of Education seats
All 105 Alabama House of Representatives seats
All 35 Alabama Senate seats
All District Attorney positions
Dozens of Circuit and District Court judicial seats
Republicans can also run for the Alabama Republican Party State Executive Committee (the governing body of the ALGOP).
Democrats can qualify online at https://aldemocrats.org/ or in-person at the Alabama Democratic Party (ADP) Headquarters Building during regular business hours. ADP HQ is at 501 Adams Ave, Montgomery, AL 36104.
Both of the major party primaries are on May 24.
