Kamala Harris named Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as her vice presidential pick on the Democratic ticket on Tuesday.
The selection was panned by Republican members of Alabama’s congressional delegation for Walz’s response to the George Floyd riots in Minneapolis and the pandemic.
“This is not just the most socialist ticket in U.S. history; it's the most anarchist,” U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) said.
U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) said, “Harris-Walz is the most radically liberal ticket in American history.”
U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks) said, “Harris-Walz is the most far-left, radical, America LAST ticket in American history. Don’t be fooled.”
U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) said the Walz pick “cements the fact that this is the most dangerously extreme ticket in US History.“
U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) called Walz a “far-left Democrat who as governor of Minnesota stood by while rioters burned and destroyed Minneapolis night after night.”
