Alabama State Treasurer Young Boozer won the Republican primary over challenger Steve Lolley on Tuesday.
Boozer won by a 68% to 32% margin over Lolley with 62% of the votes in, according to the Associated Press. With 62% of the votes in, Boozer received 258,868 votes, and Lolley received 122,181 votes.
Boozer has served as State Treasurer from 2011 to 2019 and from 2021 to present. He’ll face Rosilyn Houston, a Democrat, in the November general election.
