The University of Alabama football team continues to be ranked No. 8 in the country in this week's Associated Press top 25 college football poll.

The Crimson Tide won the SEC West on Saturday with a dominant 49-21 win over Kentucky and will face No. 2 Georgia in the SEC Championship game on December 2 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Tide are still stuck one spot behind their only blemish on the season, No. 7 Texas. There has been an unchanging logjam in front of Alabama in recent weeks, but the Tide could play their way into the College Football Playoff should they win their remaining two regular season games against Chattanooga and Auburn and then beat the reigning back-to-back national champions in the SEC title game.

ESPN will unveil the College Football rankings on Tuesday.

The top four spots in the poll remain unchanged with No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Ohio State and No. 4 Florida State.

Alabama will play their last home game of the season on Saturday against Chattanooga at 11 a.m. CT.
