On Tuesday, 14 Alabama players secured spots on the 2023 preseason coaches All-SEC Team, creating a tie with Georgia for the highest representation across the three all-conference teams. Following closely behind, LSU claimed the third spot with 11 selections.

Georgia dominated the first-team All-SEC selections with a conference-best 10 selections, followed by LSU with six selections to the first-team. Alabama came in a close third with five first-team selections of their own.

Four players from the Crimson Tide secured first-team honors, with Kool-Aid McKinstry gaining recognition as both a defensive back and return specialist. The remaining trio of first-team selections from Alabama included offensive lineman JC Latham, linebacker Dallas Turner and placekicker Will Reichard.

McKinstry, Latham and Turner were also selected to the Associated Press's preseason All-America teams earlier in the week. McKinstry was the lone first-team selection for the Crimson Tide, with Latham and Turner selected to the second team.

Seven players from the Crimson Tide secured positions on the second-team coaches All-SEC team. Running back Jase McClellan, wide receiver Jermaine Burton, and offensive lineman Tyler Booker earned spots on the offensive unit, while defensive linemen Jaheim Oatis and Justin Eboigbe, along with defensive back Malachi Moore, were part of the second defensive lineup. Additionally, long snapper Kneeland Hibbett also earned recognition on the second team.

Rounding out the list of Alabama players selected to the coaches' All-SEC football team, Alabama's three third-team selections were receiver Ja'Corey Brooks, defensive lineman Tim Smith and linebacker Chris Braswell.
