The day after earning the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and winning the SEC Championship, the University of Alabama basketball team finished the 2022-2023 season as the No. 1 team in the country.

The Crimson Tide secured three double-digit wins in the SEC Tournament, while Houston fell in the AAC Tournament and Kansas fell in the Big Ten Tournament on Sunday, which led to the Tide jumping back to No. 1.

Alabama will face the winner of Tuesday's No. 16 seed play-in game between Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Southeastern Missouri State in Birmingham on Thursday. Tip-off time is set for Thursday at 1:45 p.m. on CBS.

Auburn, which fell in the SEC Tournament to Arkansas, remained unranked.

The Tigers secured a No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will face Iowa in Birmingham on Thursday. Auburn and Iowa are scheduled to tip off on Thursday at 5:50 p.m. on TNT.
