Can you imagine an Alabama town with 12,000 residents having all the ingredients to produce and sell its own Christmas CD?

Sylacauga has local singers and musicians to perform their favorite Christmas songs:

“Please Come Home For Christmas” – Aaron Smithey
“Christmas in Dixie” – Hunter Reynolds
“Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” – Mike Shell
“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” – Patrick Barnett
“Winter Wonderland” – Mandy Harris
“Silent Night” – Cherry Avenue, featuring Jaxon & Sadie
“Holly Jolly Christmas” – Kanyon Ogle
“O Holy Night” – David Maxwell
“Blue Christmas” – Danny Reynolds
“Silver Bells” – Roy Strickland
“Quickdraw The Cowboy” – Don Horton, a host of talent in a local area.

Sylacauga has a brand new state-of-the-art recording studio called MusicWorks Audio/Video Productions, which is a Nashville-level studio.

Sylacauga has outlets to sell the CD in the annual Sylacauga Christmas Parade and the nearby Childersburg Christmas Parade.

There's also the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, Marble City Pharmacy, Harris Storage Solutions, Fed Up Shipping, Trailwares and Kings Pawn and Mattress, all in Sylacauga.

Sylacauga has a much-needed local service to benefit from the sale proceeds.

The $20 price of the CD goes to the Sylacauga Animal Shelter. It has been full or even overflowing and needs the money from the CD for emergency food and veterinary needs.

“I feel great about the quality of what we’ve put together for the holidays featuring so many of our great talents in the music business,” said Oak Grove, a suburb of Sylacauga, Town Councilman David Harris, who served as producer/sound engineer for the project. “Whether you’re looking to support the Animal Shelter, love Christmas music, or want to hear local artists, you’re going to be quite pleased.”

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
