The University of Alabama basketball team moved up to No. 3 in the nation, while Auburn University's basketball team fell out of the Associated Press top 25 college basketball poll for the first time in 33 weeks.

The Crimson Tide destroyed Vanderbilt and took care of business at LSU last week to move up third in the country. The Tide have been hovering in the top five since mid-December.

The Tigers snapped a 32-week-straight appearance in the AP top 25 after beating Georgia and a three-point loss to then-No. 2 ranked Tennessee, which fell four spots after losing to Florida last week.

This week marks the "Iron Bowl of Basketball," as No. 3 Alabama travels to Auburn on Saturday.

The Tigers travel to Texas A&M on Tuesday, while the Tide play host to Florida as the rivals prepare to square off this weekend.
