The regular session of the Alabama Legislature has begun, and a statewide group of concerned Christians will hold a prayer session on the steps of the Alabama State House on Wednesday, February 12.

Members of the public can join other Christians at 11 a.m. on February 12 to pray for the leaders of our state government.

The State House steps are located at 11 S. Union Street in Montgomery, behind the back of the State Capitol building. Parking is limited due to legislative committee meetings. Free parking is available at the nearby Cramton Bowl parking lot.

The Alabama Citizens Action Program (ALCAP) hosts the time of prayer at the start of each annual legislative session.

No reservations or tickets are needed to attend the prayer rally. There will be an optional lunch meeting afterward. Reservations are required for the lunch meeting and cost $10. Learn more here.

ALCAP is deemed as “Alabama’s Moral Advocates.” They represent close to 3,500 churches as moral advocates to the Alabama Legislature.

The prayer session is headed by Greg Davis, president of ALCAP since 2022. He serves as a trusted pastoral presence and policy influencer within the halls of the Alabama Statehouse.

Since 2011, Greg has served as host of "Priority Talk," a popular daily radio show/podcast. The show airs each weekday from 3-5 p.m. on WXJC & WYDE in Birmingham.
