The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation announced on Friday that it has initiated an investigation into the death of John Deviasi Baker, also known as “Debo” or “Punky,” and is asking for the public’s assistance.

ALEA told the 1819 News that Mr. Baker was found in the small community of Brownsville in Macon County on Sunday, Oct. 31, suffering from a gunshot wound which resulted in his death. Brownsville
