The Waugh-Mt Meigs Fire/Rescue responded to an unusual crash early on Memorial Day. A vehicle and an alligator were involved.
"Vehicle 1 - 8Ft Gator 0," the fire department posted on Facebook.
According to WSFA, the crash occurred at the intersection of Ferry Road and Edna Brake Lucas Drive in Montgomery.
The alligator was crossing the road around 3:20 a.m. when it was struck and killed.
Officials believe the vehicle will be declared a total loss
The driver had minor injuries.
