Andrew Sneed won a decisive victory in the Democrat primary runoff for Congressional District 5 on Tuesday.

Sneed, a Huntsville small business owner, defeated Candice Dollar Duvieilh by a 78% to 22% margin. 

He garnered 16,074 votes against Duvieilh's 4,431 with about 95% reporting. 

Sneed will face incumbent U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Huntsville) in the November general election.
