The owners of one of the most beloved restaurants in Alabama announced they are retiring and closing their doors.
Classic on Noble, in downtown Anniston, will close at the end of the year.
Owners Cathy and David Mashburn said the past three decades have been wonderful.
"It is hard to put into words what these years have meant to us," the couple said in a letter to patrons. "Classic on Noble has been our life's work, and our hearts are filled with gratitude for everyone who has walked through our doors.
"Downtown Anniston has been our home for more than two decades, and we are so proud to have been part of Noble Street's story," the letter continued. "The support of this community, our neighbors, and fellow business owners has made our journey so meaningful."
While the couple's daughter, Crystal, has focused on keeping the restaurant running, the Mashburns said she is also looking forward to a new chapter.
The restaurant is well known for hosting weddings, baby showers, birthday parties and holiday events. Classic on Noble will remain open through Thanksgiving and Christmas.
"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 30 incredible years. It has been an honor to serve this community, and we will treasure every memory," the Mashburns wrote. "Our specific closing dates will be shared on our social media accounts."
