Antoine Davis fell four points short of breaking Pete Maravich's NCAA Division record for career points. Davis, the youngest son of former UAB and current Detroit Mercy head coach Mike Davis, scored 22 points in Thursday's 71-66 loss at Youngstown State in the Horizon League Tournament quarterfinals.

Davis had a chance to tie the record just before the buzzer, but his 3-pointer caromed off the left side of the rim. Davis finished his five-year career with 3,664 points. Maravich, who finished his career at LSU in 1970, scored 3,667 points in three seasons. Davis does finish his career with an NCAA record 588 3-pointers.

Davis was 7 of 26 overall and 4 of 16 on 3-pointers during Thursday night's game. He had chances in the final two minutes but missed five shots overall, including four 3-pointers. His only two points in that span came from the free throw line with 10.9 seconds remaining.
