The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of one person in connection to a shooting at a May Day event in Stockton.

Eighteen people were shot, and of those, three died. The shooting happened on May 11.

Robert G. Brown, 24, of Mobile, is charged with first-degree assault.

Investigators said they could make the arrest thanks to help from the public.

"While this arrest cannot undo the damage and trauma caused this past Saturday, we hope that our efforts will bring some peace and justice to the victims, their families, and our community," the sheriff's office stated in a press release.

Brown is considered innocent until proven guilty.

The sheriff's office and the Bay Minette Police Department are still working to identify more shooters. They are asking for any information to help close the case. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office can be reached at 251-972- 8589.
