Athens Mayor Ronnie Marks won reelection Tuesday in a three-way race against opponents Danny Whitefield and Mark Wilson.
According to unofficial results reported by WHNT, Marks received 1,670 votes, while Whitefield and Wilson earned 1,055 and 171 votes, respectively. It will be Marks' fifth term in office.
Also on the ballot, City Council candidate Allen Creasy won District 2 with 542; incumbent Dana Henry won District 4 with 608 votes and Amy Golden won District 5 with 283 votes.
Incumbent James Lucas received the most votes for District 3 with 210, but he did not surpass the 50% mark. That race will go to a runoff with former councilman Henry White.
