For the ninth season in a row, the Auburn Tigers had at least three players selected in the MLB Draft.

The Tigers had three selections in the 2024 MLB Draft, all pitchers.

Chase Allsup, Tanner Bauman and Will Cannon are the latest Auburn players to join a Major League organization.

Allsup, a junior right-hander from Dothan, was taken by the Baltimore Orioles with the No. 127 overall pick in the fourth round.

In three seasons with the program, Allsup made 56 appearances and 19 starts. Through 141 innings on the mound, Allsup posted a 5.11 ERA and struck out 159 batters while walking 66. Allsup served as Auburn's Friday night starter for most of the 2024 season.

Bauman, a senior left-hander from Jacksonville, Fla., was selected 271st overall by the New York Yankees in the ninth round.

In two seasons with the program, Bauman appeared in 42 games and started nine of them. In 94.1 innings of work, Bauman finished his Auburn career with a 7-3 record, a 5.25 ERA and struck out 89 batters while walking 44. Bauman was consistently one of the Tigers' best bullpen arms during 2024.

Cannon, a right-handed junior from Phenix City, was drafted No. 359 overall by the Cincinnati Reds in the 12th round.

In two seasons on the Plains, Cannon pitched in 40 games and started four of them. In 72.2 total innings on the mound, Cannon posted a 5.57 ERA and struck out 70 batters while walking 43.

The Tigers will be looking to enjoy more success in 2025 than they did this past season. Head coach Butch Thompson has already started to fill holes in the team's roster.
