This week's Iron Bowl of basketball matchup will now feature a top 10 team in the country after Auburn leaped five spots in this week's Associated Press top 25 college basketball poll.
The Tigers drubbed both Vanderbilt and Ole Miss last week by more than 15 points each, beating the Commodores 80-65 and then-ranked No. 22 Rebels 82-59.
Auburn goes on the road to in-state rival Alabama on Wednesday for a 6:30 p.m. ESPN tipoff and then to Mississippi State on Saturday in a game that tips off at 2:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
Alabama received 30 votes to be ranked but did not crack the top 25 after a 93-75 win over Missouri and a 91-71 loss to then-No. 6 Tennessee.
In addition to hosting Auburn on Wednesday, the Crimson Tide host LSU on Saturday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
