After a season that included a 27-7 record and taking home the SEC Tournament title, the Auburn Tigers have been selected as the No. 4 seed in the East Region in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
"You always wonder how much of this thing was seeded before the Sunday finale," Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl said. "We're grateful to be in the tournament and we're grateful to have won a championship in the SEC, especially in a year when everything is so competitive."
Auburn will travel to Spokane, Wash., for its first and potentially second round games which will be played at Spokane Arena. The Tigers will take on the No. 13 seed Yale Bulldogs in the first round game.
If Auburn advances to the second round, it will take on the winner of the game between the No. 5 seed San Diego State Aztecs and No. 12 seed UAB Blazers.
"I never thought that I'd be, especially in this position, going to March Madness," Auburn guard Denver Jones said. "I feel like it's a real blessing to be here."
If the Tigers advance to the second weekend of the tournament, they will play their Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Calif.
"I'm excited," Auburn forward Johni Broome said. "Everybody has decided it doesn't matter who we've got, we got to be ready to play."
The specific television broadcast information and tipoff times for each first round game will be announced tonight. The Auburn Sports Network broadcast for each game Auburn plays can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
