Coming off winning the SEC Basketball Tournament, Auburn University leaped five spots to crack the top 10 in the final Associated Press top 25 college basketball poll before the Big Dance, while Alabama held steady at No. 19 after losing its sole game of the tournament.

Auburn swept its three games in the tournament, beating now-No. 16 South Carolina 86-55, Mississippi State 73-66 and Florida 86-67 in the championship game.

Alabama lost its opening game 102-88 to Florida.

The Tigers Tigers were selected as the No. 4 seed in the East Region in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. They travel to Spokane, Wash., for its first and potentially second round games which will be played at Spokane Arena. The Tigers will take on the No. 13 seed Yale Bulldogs in the first round game.

The Crimson Tide were also selected as a No. 4 seed and must travel to Spokane to play the No. 13 seed Charleston on Friday.
