Criminal charges are pending from a fight that left a man and woman unconscious early Sunday morning, according to the Auburn Police.

Per an Auburn Police spokesperson on Monday, the Auburn Police Department responded to a residential apartment complex in the early morning hours on Sunday in the 700 block of West Magnolia Avenue in reference to an assault complaint. 

Responding officers located two victims who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to area hospitals, where they were treated for injuries and released.

During the investigation, it was determined that a physical altercation occurred in the parking lot of the apartment complex that involved the two victims and another individual who had already been identified. The circumstances surrounding the altercation indicate that this is an isolated incident and that all parties involved were acquainted prior to the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and criminal charges are pending.
