Auburn Police are searching for the suspect in a shooting that left one person injured on Monday.
Melvin Sabas Alexander Hernandez Davila has warrants for attempted murder and first-degree robbery.
Investigators said the shooting occurred at 2:18 p.m. in the 500 block of Shelton Mill Road. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in an apartment. The man was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional for treatment, where he remains in stable condition.
Detectives determined Davila was an acquaintance of the victim. Hernandez Davila, who goes by “Alex,” has not been apprehended. He is considered armed and dangerous, and police ask anyone who sees him to call 911.
