Auburn University made a nearly $11 million profit from its athletic programs for the 2024 fiscal year.

Total revenues for all athletic programs were $193,417,486, and expenses were at $182,486,390 for a profit of $10,931,096

For Auburn University, the fiscal year 2024 runs from Oct. 1, 2023, to Sept. 30, 2024. The two sports that generated a profit were men’s basketball and football.

Men’s basketball generated a profit of $5,299,880 with $21,061,204 in revenue and $15,761,324 in expenses.

Football had a profit of $60,327,143 with $120,416,776 in revenue and $60,089,633 in expenses.

Auburn reported a combined loss of $33,242,377 on all other sports besides football and basketball, with $9,827,237 in revenue and $43,069,614 in expenses.

The totals are from Alabama’s annual Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act survey. Colleges and universities nationwide self-report their financials to the U.S. Department of Education annually. 

The University of Alabama broke even on athletics for fiscal year 2024 with total revenues and expenses both at $243,096,720.
