Loved ones are remembering a Mobile woman who was killed in a boat crash on Saturday in Baldwin County.

Kristen DeLaney was fatally injured when two boats collided. Multiple others were injured. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating.

The Mobile Big Game Fishing Club remembered DeLaney as a devoted wife and loving mother with a compassionate heart.

“Her love for her family and the joy she brought to those around her will never be forgotten,” the club shared. “Our hearts are heavy as we grieve alongside the DeLaney family, their friends and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving Kristen. During times of unimaginable loss, we are reminded that the boating and fishing community is more than a shared passion—it is a family that stands together through both joyful moments and life’s greatest hardships.”

According to her obituary, DeLaney was a civic leader who devoted time to the United Way of Southwest Alabama, the UMS-Wright Board of Trustees, Children's & Women's Hospital- Local Goodness and the Child Advocacy Center of Mobile.

DeLaney will be laid to rest Thursday after a noon service at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.
