The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating two fatal boat incidents that occurred Saturday evening in Baldwin County.

The first incident claimed the life of a Mobile teen. The 18-year-old was operating a Boston Whaler in Mobile Bay near Point Clear when ALEA said he “left the vessel, entered the water but never resurfaced.” Passengers on the boat took control, but the teen never resurfaced.

His body was recovered Sunday morning.

The second incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. Saturday in the area of Wolf Bay in the Intracoastal Waterway.

Kristin Delaney, 46, of Mobile, was fatally injured when two vessels collided. Delaney was transported to South Baldwin Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Five others were injured and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. There is no word on their conditions.
