After years of unprecedented growth, the Baldwin County Commission’s Planning and Zoning Department is holding a series of public meetings to hear from citizens about what they want to see regarding subdivision regulations.

Three meetings will be held in December on key issues including streamlining the process for minor subdivisions, possible reduced requirements for large-lot, rural subdivisions and possible new lot size criteria to ensure higher-density subdivisions are adequately served by public resources and private services.

The public comment meetings will be held as follows:

December 4 at 6 p.m: Baldwin County Commission Meeting Chambers

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Baldwin County has been the fastest-growing county in Alabama since 2010.
